Semester II

Week Nineteen
(January 2-6)

I will present Chapters 1, 2, and 3 when we begin our study of Jane Eyre upon our return from Winter Break.  I do, however, believe that to understand the initial discussion, you should peruse the first three chapters as well.  Highlighting and annotating are mandatory as we study this novel.  I am including the first word list; I thought if time permits, you might want to wrtie the following words on a flashcard:
front side - the word and the parts of speech
back side - a synonym and a practice sentence for any word that you do not understand
